This is really great stuff to learn about! And you laid it all out so nicely. :) This is what hugely intrigues me about the show, because it's a look into events which are simply foreign to the part of the world where I come from. I mean, of course we know that the Cold War have rippling consequences to the rest of the world and it's not just something between the two superpowers -- but on a day-to-day, microscopic level it's not really something we focus on in our history lessons, formally or otherwise. If that makes sense. :p
