This scares the shit out of me. I'm not getting any younger, and there's fics I want to write (and finish!) and I just think, "Oh my God, what if--?"

I don't mind dying so much (since I'll be dead obviously and likely not around to do anything in this world), but what I do mind is the thought that I might lose my mental faculties and be unable to do and read something I enjoy a lot: fan fiction.

And that really bothers me.

Yeah, I have so many stories I want to tell before I die, too. :(

That description sounds like it could be mental illness, though, rather than permanent deterioration in the form of dementia. So depending on what the illness is, there could be help for that person.

Yeah. That's the part that kind of freaks me out - is what if one day I won't remember my own fics anymore, or be able to enjoy what other people write? :(

That pic from F!S is a few months old, so I hope that in the intervening interval someone did get help.
